Academic SpacesBiodiesel Lab TourThe Searle Biodiesel Program focuses on production, research, and outreach efforts centered on utilizing waste products to create energy. Our products are designed to utilize university and lab waste to make usable products with the long-term goal of establishing a Zero Waste Process. Exercise Science Lab TourExercise Science students utilize multiple laboratory spaces, including the MSES Human Performance Laboratory located in the newly constructed Alfie Norville Practice facility, are well-equipped. Students will be exposed to state-of-the-art equipment in both classroom and laboratory settings, in addition to when they are conducting research independently or with faculty in the lab. Mundelein Center for Fine and Performing Arts & Ralph Arnold Fine Arts AnnexMundelein Center is home to Loyola's performance spaces: the Newhart Family Theatre, the Underground Theatre, Skowronski Music Hall, Studio 409, and the Mundelein Auditorium. The Ralph Arnold Fine Arts Annex is home to the fine arts gallery, studio art classrooms, and a dance studio. Engineering Science Flex LabIn 2018, Loyola opened the new Engineering Science Flex Lab. The Flex Lab embodies the Engineering Science program's active learning framework by focusing on open spaces and collaborative environments, with moveable furniture and equipment. This new building enables engaging experimentation in a state-of-the-art learning environment. Biology and Forensic Science LabsThe Biology and Forensic Science labs at Loyola offer students the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment. School of Environmental SustainabilityThe Institute of Environmental Sustainability, opened in 2013, and launched as the School of Environmental Sustainability in 2020, includes classrooms, faculty offices, research and teaching labs, a biodiesel lab, an urban agricultural greenhouse, a green café, and a LEED-certified residence hall. Information Commons & Cudahy LibraryThe Loyola University Libraries & Information Commons facilitate the pursuit of knowledge and creativity through user-focused services and collections in an inviting, collaborative, and innovative learning environment. Nursing Simulation LabThe Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing Simulation lab is multifunctional and provides students with the opportunity for learning and risk-free practice throughout the nursing program. Student CommunityHalas Recreation CenterHalas Recreation Center is where Ramblers shoot hoops, take spinning classes, lift weights and play intramural sports. All full-time students have access to Halas. Damen Student CenterDamen Student Center is one of the busiest buildings on campus. In Damen Ramblers relax, study, grab food, connect with student organizations and hang out with friends. Student Diversity & Multicultural AffairsThe Department of Student Diversity and Multicultural Affairs (SDMA) offers a broad range of support and programs, all fostering social justice and community. Madonna Della Strada ChapelMadonna della Strada Chapel is Loyola University Chicago's main chapel. , Madonna della Strada Chapel functions as an apostolic outreach of the Jesuits on campus, serving a diverse and transient congregation. Residence LifeRegis HallSophomores and transfer students live in Regis Hall. Double, triple and very limited single rooms all have private bathrooms. San Francisco HallEco-friendly freshman residence hall with double rooms. Some floors have community bathrooms while others have suite style. MertzMertz is our largest freshman residence hall featuring single, double, and limited quad rooms with community style bathrooms. De NobiliDeNobili is a freshman residence hall with double rooms. DeNobili Dining Hall is located on the first floor. SimpsonSimpson has single, double rooms for freshmen. Bathrooms are semi-private and shared among suitemates.
