Loyola University Chicago Shadow Visit - Ashley

Ashley is a Junior, Psychology major with minors in Women's Studies & Gender Studies and Criminology/Criminal Justice from Shorewood, IL.

Bio:
"Hello, my name is Ashley and I’m a first-gen junior majoring in psychology with a double minor in criminology and women’s & gender studies. My hometown is Shorewood, a southwest Chicago-area village right next to Joliet. At Loyola, I have an on-campus job as a front desk receptionist, I am the treasurer of Diminuendo (Loyola’s literary & arts magazine), and I’m involved in many student organizations from Students for Reproductive Justice (SRJ) to Rainbow Connections to the Black Cultural Center (BCC)! Outside of classes and extracurriculars, I love to express myself creatively through writing and drawing. I also enjoy thrifting, reading, pilates, and exploring Chicago (especially their cafes!). Besides the professors, academics, and my friends, I also love Loyola’s location next to the lake. I love taking in beautiful views, and I try to walk near the lake on my way to classes whenever possible — it’s such a relaxing way to start or break up my day!"

10:25AM – CJC 370: Women in the Criminal Justice System

11:15AM – Lunch with Ashley in one of the dining halls

12:30PM – Return to the Undergraduate Admission Office
