Loyola University Chicago Shadow Visit

River is a Senior, Sociology & Anthropology and Human Services major from Gainesville, Florida.

Bio: "Hi! My name is River, I am a senior studying Sociology and Anthropology, and Human Services. I am originally from Minneapolis, Minneapolis but grew up in Gainesville, Florida. During my 1^st year, I had the opportunity to participate in Rome Start, a program that allows Loyola freshman students to spend their first year abroad at Loyola's satellite campus in Rome, Italy. Here in Chicago, I work as a Restorative Justice intern with the local organization FORA (Forging Opportunities for Refugees in America). Working with FORA has allowed me to connect and contribute to the greater Roger’s Park community. My favorite thing about Loyola is its unwavering dedication to providing students with spaces and opportunities that promote global citizenship. Additionally, the genuine support from staff members, who are truly invested in seeing students succeed, is what, in my opinion, makes Loyola a special place for learning."


Schedule for your Shadow Visit with River:

11:10AM -- Check in at the front desk in Undergraduate Admissions (Sullivan Center Room 150)
11:30AM -- Attend PHIL 389: Contemporary Issues
12:45PM -- Lunch with River in one of the dining halls
1:45PM -- Return to the Undergraduate Admission Office
